About the company INCIDENTIC

INCIDENTIC s.r.o. is currently a start-up focused on providing one specific service. A layman would describe it as an advanced calendar — but that would only be a fraction of the reality.

We are developing the INCIDENTIC service so that you can combine completely private, self-scheduled activities with events shared between you and your friends, and events that are completely public. We will bring you more details as the service develops.

Gradually, you are getting your hands on a tool where community works the way family works. You can read more about how it all works in the Rules for using INCIDENTIC.

Our goal is not small. We want to connect individuals into communities and communities into a living organism so that, once again, every single one feels relief over planning. We want the need to write down and rewrite all the details ourselves — when someone else is already doing it — to disappear. We want project planning to be a walk in the park, and public events to be timely reminders to interested parties. What's more: no ads, no algorithms that create a social bubble around you.

As you can see, this is a big goal. It won't be achieved right away. As a start-up, we are taking baby steps. But we are still moving forward, and we have broken the goal into a series of smaller ones with their own priorities and deadlines. We don't want to go into greater detail at this point, for obvious reasons.

The highest value is the time of our users. We want them to save time with our service, as time is becoming increasingly scarce. Thanks to the simplicity and interconnectedness of the community, everyone who uses us should have more time to themselves — and always be properly informed about events that affect them directly or indirectly.

Another value is humanity. We try to communicate with our users. All suggestions and questions are analysed and answered patiently. And not by a robot, but by us — humans. True, we are developers and our style can be skeletal, but you can trust us, it comes from the heart.

As our motto says, we make life more adjusted. As a wise man (Adam Savage) says, “if you can't make it perfect, make it at least adjustable”. In life, it means realising that life is imperfect — but adjustable. And with us it is better set up as well. We want your life to be more adjusted to your needs through our service.

Last is faith in science. We believe that science is the foundation of civilisation. Thinkers, researchers and scientists are the engine of development. Yes, without bakers and farmers they would starve, but even those would have nothing to grow or bake with without scientists. And because we truly value scientists, all functions are and will be provided to scientists free of charge.

The spiritual father and founder of the company, David Hejral, has been reflecting on the need for the service since 2002. Since then, as a software engineer and later a software architect, he gathered the experience and skills to throw himself into planning and concept. His brother Aleš then helped define the remaining needs while studying marketing communications. Based on a clear vision, INCIDENTIC s.r.o. was incorporated on 29 November 2019.

Currently, in parallel with the development of the core functions of the service, we are looking for possible partners and collaborators who could help us with further development. We still see plenty of opportunities, and ideas for features keep pouring in. We firmly believe that the service will continue to deliver better and better service to the public for many years to come.

The future is always in the stars. We cannot tell, but we have faith. We believe that the service will be attractive, functional and that it will change society.

Our service was created out of dissatisfaction with current planning apps, calendars, websites promoting public events, search servers, and the overall way of planning personal life. We find out about most events late; many times we don't even know what is happening just a short distance away — and yet we think it would be enough to do just a little. And that little is us. We firmly believe that.

Dave knows that not everyone is dead. He invents and programs this service for everyone who is alive and has a need to interact with other living people in this world. He has been gaining programming experience since he graduated from the industrial school SPŠ Jičín in 2002. Since then he has been developing banking applications as a programmer and software architect — still his main source of income. In his free time, however, he decided to devote himself to the development of this service. Mainly for his own enjoyment, but it turned out that more people are interested in the intended functionality. So in 2019 he came to the decision to start a company to represent this service — and Incidentic s.r.o. was born.

Mgr. Aleš Hejral — marketing consultant, copywriter, PR, XO.

Aleš is the identical twin brother of Dave. We almost don't need to write more, but for those who don't know that such a bond speaks for itself, here are a few more details. He graduated from the same high school, but never pursued programming professionally. Instead, he was mostly a copywriter, coming up with slogans and promotional materials, mainly in the non-profit sector abroad. He fell so deeply in love with advertising that he extended his education at Tomas Bata University in Zlín, in the field of marketing communications. Having been involved in the arts since childhood — light design and theatre technology — he saw his brother's idea as a great opportunity in the field of planning and preparing theatre productions. Among other things.
